Mary Gauthier's 'mercy now' is tender and kind and possibly my new most favoritest song evah.

The sound track for Napoleon Dynamite is great for riding around with the sun roof open. It's almost like you 're watching the movie all over again, what with all the dialogue b/t cuts.

And here is my obligitory statement about Terri: The doctors should have never put the feeding tube in her in the first place. THEY, of all people know, from watching hundreds of young people NOT recover as compared to the one in 10 thousand who DOES, that they were sentencing her to drag out the suffering for the sake of their own job security. Furthermore, expecting someone that young to have an Advance Directive prepared, and penalizing them to years of a living hell is cruel and unusual punishment.

There are alot of Terri's out there, who have made it crystal clear to everyone that they don't want to be kept alive by artificial means, and yet when the time comes, the 'responsible person' isn't strong enough, or realistic enough to support their health care decisions. My own cousin was a nurses aide who told her husband and family she wouldn't want that. She's been in a coma for over a year, on a feeding tube, and her heart and lungs are healthy. She's been sentenced to live like that for possibly the next 20 years, not talking, not having sex, not doing anything, except for the little bit of crying she starts to do every time family comes to see her. All because her husband and family were asked to let go and they couldn't.

Rest in peace, Terri.
